Abstract

The cavernous sinus is a paired epidural venous plexus in the parasellar region. On the medial wall of each sinus is the internal carotid artery and cranial nerves beneath and within its wall. It has eleven triangles between the cranial nerves in the parasellar region, medial fossa and paraclival region. That is, next to sella and to medial fossa floor as well, and toward the posterior part of cavernous sinus.

Key words: cavernous sinus, sella turcica, medial fossa, Fukushima triangles
